How to find us: Flipper’s Hotel Galapagos

Flights to the Galapagos Islands
Several daily flights are offer by the different airlines from Quito (Inland) International Mariscal Sucre Airport (always with intermediate landings in Guayaquil) and Guayaquil (coast) José Joaquín de Olmedo Airport on the two islands; Island of Baltra and the island of San Cristobal.
Your approach airport: GPS-Seymour, Baltra Island

The mentioned airlines currently fly to Galapagos (as of May 2017):

From the airport to the hotel

 There are two possibilities

  • Private airport transfer to the hotel: can be booked directly via the hotel (for a fee)
  • Public transport: From the airport you can use the free buses of the airline which bring you to the canal (travel time approx. 10 minutes). Once there, take the public ferry (travel time between 5-15 minutes) which takes you to Santa Cruz for 1USD per person. From there you have two options to get to the hotel.

Taxi: Take a taxi at the taxi station. The journey takes about 45 minutes and costs up to the hotel 25USD.

Public bus: The journey takes about 1.15 hours and costs 3USD per person. There are three buses per day, with irregular departure times. This is due to the fact that the buses do not start until they are full. The first bus leaves the station of Puerto Ayora to the canal at about 8.00am (or as soon as it is full) and reaches the canal about 1.15h later. Thus, the first departure at the canal is around 9:20 am or later.

A taxi from the bus stop in Puerto Ayora to the hotel costs about 1.50USD.
